On the 12th October 2015, exactly five years since I had the all clear from cancer. 

 

As some of you know, i regularly volunteer at a children's hospice in birmingham called acorns. All the children at acorns face life limiting and life threatening illnesses, yet acorns remains an incredibly happy place. 

 

acorns run an event called the lantern walk, with the motto "individually we are little lights, but together we can shine." 

 

the walk was something that was challenging but very much rewarding....we were very proud to announce we were the second team back and we thoroughly enjoyed lighting up the streets of birmingham.
